About Skyroot Aerospace

India's first private company to reach orbit.

Skyroot Aerospace is building the Vikram-series of launch vehicles to provide on-demand and dedicated access to space for small satellite operators worldwide.

Founded by Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka, the company aims to democratize space access. Skyroot made history in 2022 with Vikram-S, India's first privately built rocket to reach space. In July 2026, Vikram-1 completed its maiden flight, reaching orbit and deploying its payloads to become the first Indian-built rocket to reach orbit by a private company.
